We are proud to offer nationwide Ship-to-Coat services for wheels, automotive parts, motorcycle components, and marine hardware and other small parts. To ensure your items are handled safely and returned in perfect condition, please review the following policies:

1. Shipping Responsibilities

• Customers are responsible for shipping costs both ways (to and from our facility).
• Customers may either:
  • Provide their own inbound shipping, or
  • Use our prepaid UPS/FedEx label service (quoted at checkout).
• Shipping insurance is available and recommended. Powder Mafia is not responsible for damage caused by carriers once items leave our facility.

2. Packaging Standards

• Inbound Packaging: Customers must ship parts securely, using double-wall boxes, foam, or equivalent protective materials. Powder Mafia is not responsible for damage due to inadequate inbound packaging.
• Manufacturer Packaging Exception: If parts arrive in intact manufacturer packaging (e.g. new wheels from a vendor) that is suitable for safe return, we may reuse it. In such cases, packaging fees may be reduced or waived at our discretion.
• Repackaging Requirement: If inbound packaging is insufficient or compromised, Powder Mafia will repackage items for safe return. Our standard packaging fees will apply.

3. Handling & Packaging Fees

To ensure safe return shipping, all Ship-to-Coat orders include a handling and packaging fee:

• Small parts (valve covers, brackets, hardware): $25 per order
• Medium parts (motorcycle components, sets of wheels): $50 per order
• Large/awkward parts (frames, boat rails, ladders): $75–$100+ per order (quoted individually)

This fee covers inspection, protective wrapping, new boxing/foam, and outbound preparation.

4. Powder & Specialty Finishes

• Base pricing includes shop-stock standard powders.
• Specialty powders (candies, metallics, pearls, multi-stage finishes) are billed separately at cost or may be customer-supplied.
• Specialty finishes typically require 2–3 coats and oven cycles, which increases labor pricing (see Specialty Pricing guide).

5. Liability Disclaimer

• Powder Mafia guarantees professional preparation, coating, and packaging of your parts.
• Powder Mafia is not liable for:
  • Damage caused by shipping carriers,
  • Customer-supplied parts with hidden defects,
  • Customer-supplied powder quality or performance.
• Customers may elect to add shipping insurance to cover transit risk.

6. Turnaround & Communication

• Typical turnaround: 7–10 business days from receipt of parts. Specialty jobs may require longer.
• Powder Mafia do offer in rush service on a custom item quote basis if requested.
• Customers will receive:
  • Confirmation of receipt (with photos of inbound parts),
  • Notification upon completion and outbound tracking details.

We guarantee your parts will be coated to the highest standard and returned safely with professional packaging. By shipping parts to Powder Mafia, you agree to these terms and acknowledge that All shipping risk rests with the customer and/or the shipping carrier. We strongly recommend shipping insurance in all cases.
